Compassionate careers

This article is about compassionate careers. Not all professions are calculative. There are some professions that are altruistic. What I meant is that these professions are driven by the urge to care for and nurture other people.

Why is compassion important? Compassion propells one want to do something to help another. This is what set it apart from other kinds of careers.

Below are some example of compassionate professions:

1. Social worker. The persons in this careers deeply feel for the suffering of certain gruops within a country. This group of people includes the aged and the disabled. Driven by deep compassion, the social worker work in the much underrated career of taking care of these latter group of people.

2. Childbirth Doula. She helps to to reduce the pain associated with childbirth. A Doula helps an expectant women.

As most of these careers are not flashly, they are not highly visible. This is most unfortunate. The people in these careers are doing society a great service.
